DevotionalLove has an amazing capacity to expand beyond our human limitations. While we might need to set healthy boundaries in relationships, our capacity to forgive should be limitless - just like God's love for us. This doesn't mean we have to maintain close relationships with those who have hurt us, but it does mean we're called to maintain a heart of forgiveness toward them. When we choose to forgive, we're not saying what happened was okay; we're saying we trust God enough to handle the situation His way.
Bible Verse
"Then the master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' he said, 'I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?'" - Matthew 18:34-35
Reflection Question
How can you maintain a forgiving heart while still establishing healthy boundaries in difficult relationships?
Quote Your interaction can be limited, but your forgiveness has to be unlimited.
Prayer
Father, help me understand that forgiveness and reconciliation are different things. Give me wisdom to know how to love like You while maintaining healthy boundaries. In Jesus' name, Amen.
